The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 319 CDI (Gen 907) is the global reference standard for Type B and Type C ambulance conversions. Available in L3H2, L3H3, L4H2, and L4H3 body configurations, its 4,810 mm cargo bay (L4H3) provides a 3,200–3,500 mm patient compartment with genuine standing height. The 3.0L V6 CDI engine delivers 190 HP and 440 Nm at 1,400 rpm — torque characteristics that ensure reliable loaded performance in urban and long-distance emergency deployments. Ramsbulance builds the Sprinter as Type B (ALS emergency) and Type C (MICU) configurations with 12V/220V dual electrical systems, 4-outlet oxygen, and EN 1789-specification stretcher mounting.
